Featuring four bedrooms, a wide-open great room, two bathrooms and a powder room, the home is just one long block and one short block away from the pristine white-sand beaches of America’s Greatest Family Resort.
The duplex, sided and gray cedar shake with white trim, has a one-car garage plus a large storage room for a surfboards, paddleboards, beach chairs, umbrellas and other necessities of life at the shore.
A central staircase rises to the covered front porch, which features a mahogany plank ceiling and space for dining and relaxing while watching happy people pass by on the new concrete sidewalks below.
The front door opens into the great room, where 9-foot ceilings combine with abundant natural light, gray laminate floors and white walls to create a bright, welcoming space.

The color scheme is decidedly nautical, with white walls and ceiling and blue cabinets and accents.
A dining area is to the right, where a table awaits hungry children beneath a chandelier just inside a triple window overlooking Second Street. Two more windows on the side provide light to the sideboard, which has wood cabinets and a quartz countertop.
Just steps away, more seating is available at the center island, which has a wine refrigerator, quartz top and two pendant lights overhead.
More cabinets run along two walls, where stainless steel appliances include a two-door refrigerator/freezer, six-burner gas range with a microwave above and a dishwasher to the right of the deep sink.
Two exposed beams overhead lead left to the living room, where a sofa and two cozy chairs are arranged around a gas fireplace with a large television above. The mantel and flanking cabinets pick up the blue color from the kitchen and dining area, creating a cohesive aesthetic.
A sliding glass door opens from this area onto the front porch.
The back wall of the living room features 4-foot-high wood wainscoting that turns the corner and adds style and class all the wall down the hall. Other millwork includes baseboard and crown molding.

Moving toward the rear, the first bedroom is on the left and currently set up with bunkbeds. A wardrobe serves as a closet.
Across the hall, the second bedroom has full-size bed and closet with double swinging doors. The doors are white with black hardware throughout.
Back on the left is a powder room, convenient for those in the heart of the home.
A hallway on the right leads past a laundry closet to a full bathroom with tile floor, custom wood vanity and shower tiled to the ceiling.
The final two bedrooms are in the rear. The primary suite is on the right and includes a shiplap accent wall and private bathroom with a custom tiled shower.
Bonuses include the enclosed outside shower, perfect for rinsing away beach sand before heading inside. Additional highlights include crown molding, large baseboards, and wainscoting, built in closet systems and a tankless water heater.
Ocean City is one of the most popular shore resorts on the East Coast, featuring an oceanfront boardwalk filled with hundreds of shopping, dining and entertainment venues, as well as miles and miles of pristine beaches.
A great location doesn’t only mean beachfront or bayfront on this 8-mile-long island — there are 10 distinct neighborhoods, each with its own characteristics.
The beach and boardwalk — 2.5 miles of oceanfront entertainment, restaurants, thrill rides and souvenir shops — get most of the attention in this seaside resort, but the island has much more to offer.
An award-winning downtown stretches from Sixth to 14th streets along Asbury Avenue and has expanded onto other nearby streets, offering more than 100 shops and cafes.
There’s also the popular watersports district around Third Street on Bay Avenue, where the brave can rent powerboats, go parasailing, join the crew of a pirate ship and take a kayak tour of the back bays. Private and party boat fishing tours are also available.
The Northend contains many of the island’s historic homes. It’s heavily residential but there are many mom-and-pop shops and corner cafes that are traditional stops for families for generations.
Extending from North Street to Sixth Street, the Northend is an eclectic blend of single-family, duplex and triplex properties. The boardwalk begins its 2½-mile span here.
The 14-story Gardens Plaza, the tallest structure on the island, sits on the Boardwalk in the very center of the Northend. In addition, it contains the Historic District, from Third to Eighth streets and Ocean Avenue to Central Avenue. Designated as such by Ocean City’s Historic Preservation Commission, the district seeks to maintain the look and feel of classic island architecture.
