OCEAN CITY – The Red Raider football team beat visiting Cedar Creek High School 6-2 Thursday evening, Sept. 3, in a defensive battle at Carey Stadium.
Improving the record to 2-0, the Ocean City High School football team kept the Pirates out of the end zone with defensive plays that included three interceptions and goal-line stands that stopped Cedar Creek at the 1-inch line.
The Red Raiders strategically gave up a safety with less than 15 seconds remaining in the game for the Pirates’ only score.
Ocean City quarterback Jackson Becker provided the only offensive score of the game with a keeper. The point after was blocked.
