William ‘Bill’ Briggs

William “Bill” Briggs, of Ocean City, NJ, formerly of Gloucester Twp., NJ, passed away peacefully April 9, 2024, at the age of 74 years. Devoted and loving husband of 54 years to Angie Briggs (nee Meo). Beloved father of Bill Briggs and Annie McCann (Chuck). Proud grandfather of C.J. McCann and Nia McCann. Dear brother of Connie Sarlo (Charlie) and Tim Briggs (Kelly). He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews, as well as his treasured grand dogs, Ozzie and Moose.

Bill was a 1971 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. After graduating college, he entered the Army National Guard and served for six years. Bill was a Certified Public Accountant by trade and for many years worked for the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, ultimately becoming Senior Vice President and CFO, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed reading, spending time at the beach, and trips to the casino. Bill was an incredibly loving and supportive father and grandfather.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Earle Funeral Home, 122 W. Church Street, Blackwood, NJ 08012, where his service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Olivet Cemetery, Pittsgrove, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Ocean City Firefighters Association, P.O.
