OCEAN CITY — The Thursday Ocean City Senior Golf League is set to begin another season of competition and camaraderie when players return to the fairways on Thursday, May 7.
The league, a longstanding staple of the local golf community, plays exclusively at Harbor Pines Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township, where members gather each week not only for competition, but for the friendships and traditions that have defined the group over the years.
With the arrival of a new season comes renewed excitement, as returning players look to sharpen their games and reestablish themselves among the league’s regular contenders. While scores and standings will ultimately shape the season, the spirit of the league extends well beyond the leaderboard.
“This league has always been about more than just golf,” one longtime member noted. “It’s about getting out, staying active and enjoying time with a great group of guys.”
The Thursday morning rounds have become a weekly ritual for many, offering a mix of friendly rivalry and lighthearted moments that keep players coming back year after year. From early-season rust to midseason momentum and the push toward the final standings, each week brings its own storylines.
As the opening tee shots approach, anticipation is building for what promises to be another memorable season at Harbor Pines. Familiar faces will return, new highlights will emerge, and the fairways will once again be filled with the sounds of competition, laughter, and well-earned applause.
The first round begins May 7, with weekly recaps and standout performances sure to follow as the season unfolds.
