Sea Isle City home sports panoramic bayfront view, phenomenal sunsets daily

SEA ISLE CITY — With six bedrooms, four full bathrooms and a wide-open great room, the home at 3805 S. Kneass St. in Sea Isle City is the perfect shore getaway or investment property.

Located just to the left of the bridge entering the island, the home offers sweeping views of Ludlam Thorofare and the larger Ludlam Bay to the north.

It’s also just a couple of blocks away from the city’s main attractions to either side of John F. Kennedy Boulevard, one of which is the popular strip of seafood restaurants including Mike’s Seafood, where it’s possible to return bivalve shells to their native environment with a flick of the wrist. Sea Isle is also well known for its night life, with multiple taverns that have been part of the fabric of the city for decades.

And the city’s most popular attraction — the beach — is just a short bike ride away.

The home was built on the corner with a concrete parking pad in front of the four-car detached garage off 39th Street. A vinyl white-picket fence borders a gravel yard, so no need for a mower or landscaper, and the outside showers has two doors and is beneath the composite stairs ascending to the covered front porch.

Set up to take advantage of the water view, the home has an upside-down design with four bedrooms on the first floor, one on the second along with the great room and the master bedroom on the third floor.

Even the front door, which is mostly glass, was designed to take in the view. It opens onto a tiled foyer with a door to the left opening onto a bedroom, a set of wood stairs straight ahead and a hall leading down the right to three other bedrooms and the laundry room.

The bedroom to the left has the best location on this level, with a double window overlooking the water. It has wall-to-wall carpeting, a double bed with storage beneath and a walk-in closet. There’s also a full bathroom with a tile floor, granite-topped Wolf vanity with bead board accents and a porcelain tub with walls tiled to the ceiling and a curtain.

Down the hall to the right, the laundry is straight ahead and another hallway leads right and left.

To the left, there’s a closet under the stairs just outside the second bedroom. This room has carpet, bunkbeds and a couple of chests of drawers, as well as a closet with double sliding doors.

At the other end of the hall, a full bathroom is just outside two bedrooms. It has a tile floor, porcelain tub with tiled walls sporting a glass-tile accent and another Wolf vanity. A door opens directly into the third bedroom, which is in the corner above the garage. It has a large window facing 39th Street and a smaller one on the bay side, and is set up with a daybed.

The final bedroom is identical to the first with the exception of the water view.

Back in the foyer, the stairs have white risers and light wood treads with a carpet inlay. At the top, the great room opens to the right featuring narrow-plank hardwood flooring.

Just to the left, the kitchen has a large granite-topped island with four stools and two pendant lights hanging above. More Wolf cabinets with bead board fronts, featuring self-close, soft-close doors and drawers and a granite top, stretch along two walls. Starting from the left, a tall pantry is next to the GE Profile stainless-steels refrigerator with two doors and a bottom freezer drawer. A tile backsplash begins next to the refrigerator into the corner and then turns right, where a stainless-steel Miele dishwasher is to the left of a wide stainless-steel sink. To the right is a GE Profile five-burner range/oven with a hood.

The dining area is just steps away in a cozy corner with multiple windows, allowing the morning light to flow in. The solid-wood table has two chairs and two benches likely able to seat 10 comfortably. There also is a china hutch against the wall.

A long header running north-south separates this part of the home from the living room, which is on the bay side, again to take advantage of the view. The multiangled ceiling has a cutout for a window high in the peak.

Two sofas are centered around a gas fireplace with built-in wood cabinets to both sides and a wide-screen television above. Above that is a window with a remote-controlled blind. Another is above the huge sliding glass door opening onto an uncovered deck.

A hall off the kitchen leads to the fifth bedroom, which is a suite with a lofty vaulted ceiling and a full bathroom. A multipaned window is high up in the peak above a double sliding glass door opening onto a private front deck. The bathroom has a tile floor, granite—topped Wolf vanity and a tiled shower/tub with a curtain.

Off the living room, a hall leads back to a half-bath at the foot of another staircase leading up to the top floor, where the master bedroom is located.

The spacious room has a king-size bed with drawers below a sloped cathedral ceiling and a sliding glass door opening onto a private waterfront deck. A large casement window is above and a second one is to the left. There also is a double window to the side and singles flanking the bed on the ocean side.

The large walk-in closet has a built-in organizer and, beside it, the full bathroom has a tile floor, Wolf vanity with a granite top and his and hers sinks beneath a long mirror and a fully tiled step-in shower with a standard and a removable wand.

The home is listed for $1.25 million with William Godfrey of Marr Agency. Call (609) 780-7363 of email wsg@marragency.com for more information or to set up an appointment to see this wonderful home.
