Ocean City girls lacrosse continues its roll

OCEAN CITY – Lesley Graham’s Red Raider girls lacrosse team remains atop the standings in the Cape-Atlantic League, sporting a record of 8-3. The team’s only losses have come to non-CAL opponents.

The girls lost a close 9-8 game to Southern, fell 14-9 to Haddonfield and 7-4 to Trinity Hall.

The Ocean City High School team is unbeaten in the league and remains atop the American Conference. After falling to Trinity Hall April 20, the girls defeated Lower Cape May Regional 18-8, Cherokee 7-5 and Our Lady of Mercy Academy 16-5.

The Red Raider team, the defending CAL champion, is currently ranked second in Power Points in South Jersey Group III, behind Moorestown (7-2) and just ahead of Mainland Regional (7-2). Shawnee and Brick are fourth and fifth.

The team is facing is hosting Woodstown on Wednesday, April 29, at the Tennessee Avenue sports complex, will travel to Cape Henlopen in Delaware for a game at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, and will be back at home at 6 p.m. Monday, May 4, at Carey Field at Sixth Street and Atlantic Avenue.
