Ocean City Beach Patrol hosts pageant contestants

OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Beach Patrol hosted the contestants of upcoming pageants for an evening of lifeguard games and pizza Thursday, July 30.

The girls and young women competing in the 2027 Little Miss Ocean City, Junior Miss Ocean City and Miss Ocean City pageants had the opportunity to have fun with OCBP lifeguards under the direction of Deputy Chief Holly Lesser and Aggie Becker, director of the Miss Ocean City and Junior Miss Ocean City pageants.

They took part in games including the surf dash, paddleboard, personal watercraft rides and a short obstacle course with lifeguards helping them every step of the way. They also were able to tour the First Street lifeguard station. The evening was capped off with pizza.

The games were a bonding experience for the girls and young women before the pageants. 

The Miss Ocean City pageant, for young women ages 16 to 21, is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at the Ocean City Music Pier.

The Little Miss Ocean City pageant, for girls ages 8 to 11, is 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14 at the Music Pier, and the Junior Miss Ocean City pageant, for girls ages 12-15, is 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Music Pier.
