Donald Pieter van Krieken, Sr. 86

Donald Pieter van Krieken, Sr., 86, died May 30, 2024 at  his residence in Lansdowne, PA.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he had lived in Yeadon, PA for several years prior to moving to Lansdowne, PA over 62 years ago.  He was a graduate of Yeadon High School, Class of 1956, and REI Technical School.  He worked for the Philadelphia Electric Company for 38 years, prior to retiring in 1999.

He was a member of the Army National Guard of Pennsylvania and loved fishing, boating, water skiing, Ocean City,  New Jersey and photography.  He belonged to the Yeadon Fire Company for several years.  He was a Jack of all trades. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #711 Lansdowne for over 60 years.

Donald was born to Cornelius Daniel Pieter van Krieken and Alice Elizabeth (nee Pitts) van Krieken.  He is survived by his spouse of 62 years, Nancy Jane (Resh) van Krieken and his children: Donald Pieter van Krieken, Jr. (Brinda Taylor Porter), Beth Anne van Krieken Keates (Brian Anderson), Carl Daniel van Krieken (Kelly Jo) and his grandchildren Benjamin Pieter van Krieken, Joshua Pieter van Krieken, Jacob Anderson Keates, Andrew Lewis Keates, and Isabel Caitlyn van Krieken.

Family and friends may visit St. Philomena Church, 41 E. Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, PA 19050 on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 8:45 AM – 10 AM. A Masonic Service will be held at 10 AM and Mass will follow at 10:15 AM.  Interment will be in Fernwood Cemetery.
