Atlantic County averaged 102 COVID cases a day

Coronavirus deaths in past five days: 2 in Linwood, 2 in Galloway, one in A.C.

Atlantic County has averaged just more than 100 new cases of COVID-19 daily over the past week, which also brought five new fatalities related to the coronavirus.

Between Tuesday, Nov. 17, and Monday, Nov. 22, the Atlantic County Division of Public Health has reported 718 new cases of the coronavirus, an average of about 102 per day.

Monday was actually the fewest number of daily cases with 55, including 29 females from 3 years old to 87 and 26 males from 1 year old to 84.

COVID-19, according to the Division of Public Health, claimed the lives of two people in Linwood, two in Galloway Township and one in Atlantic City.

There have been a total of 270 fatalities and 8,446 cases in Atlantic County since the statistics started being recorded in March.

Daily reports

Sunday, Nov. 22: There were 115 cases among 60 women aged 18 to 89 years old and among 55 males from 5 years old to 80.

Somers Point had eight cases, Northfield had two and Linwood had one.

Egg Harbor Township led with 22 cases, Galloway had 16, Atlantic City had 13, Hamilton Township had nine, Hammonton had seven, there were four each in Buena Borough, Margate, Pleasantville and Ventnor, three each in Brigantine and Buena Vista Township, two in Egg Harbor City and one each in Estell Manor and Mullica Township.

Saturday, Nov. 21: There were two deaths reported Saturday, a 67-year-old Atlantic City man and an 86-year-old Galloway man, both with pre-existing conditions. There were 154 new cases, including 92 among females from 7 to 98 years old and 62 among males from 1 year old to 94.

There were seven new cases in Somers Point, six in Linwood and two in Northfield.

Egg Harbor Township had 35 cases, Hamilton Township had 20, Pleasantville had16, Hammonton 14, Galloway Township 13 and Atlantic City 12. Absecon reported eight, Margate had seven, Ventnor six, Brigantine three, Weymouth Township two and Buena Borough, Buena Vista Township and Folsom had one each.

Friday, Nov. 20: 150 new cases were reported, including 79 among males from 1 year old to 82 and 71 among females from 11 to 94 years old.

Somers Point had nine new cases, Linwood had four and Northfield had three.

Egg Harbor Township led with 27 cases, Galloway Township had 18, Hammonton had 17 cases, Atlantic had 14, Pleasantville had 11, Absecon had 10, Ventnor had six, Buena Borough, Egg Harbor City and Margate had five each, Buena Vista Township had three, Brigantine and Mullica Township had two each, and Folsom and Corbin City had one each.

Thursday, Nov. 19: The Division of Public Health reported the death of a 90-year-old Linwood woman with underlying conditions and 134 new cases of COVID-19.

The new cases include 78 males from 1 year old to 88 and 56 women from 18 to 96 years old.

There were 11 new case in Linwood, nine in Somers Point and eight in Northfield.

There also were 24 in Egg Harbor Township, 19 in Galloway Township, 10 each in Atlantic City and Pleasantville, nine in Absecon, six each in Hammonton and Hamilton Township, four each in Brigantine and Weymouth Township, three each in Ventnor, Margate and Folsom, two in Egg Harbor City and one each in Longport, Buena Borough and Buena Vista Township.

Wednesday, Nov. 18: There were two deaths reported and 118 new cases of COVID-19.

The fatalities attributed to the coronavirus were a 96-year-old Linwood man and an 83-year-old Galloway man, both with pre-existing conditions, according to the Division of Public Health.

The new cases included 64 females from 5 years old to 90 and 54 males from 8 years old to 91.

Egg Harbor Township had 25 cases, Galloway Township had 14, Atlantic City and Hammonton had 12 each and Hamilton Township had 11. There were six cases in each of Buena Borough and Absecon, four each in Northfield, Margate, Longport and Pleasantville, three each in Linwood, Ventnor and Egg Harbor City, two each in Brigantine, Buena Vista Township and Mullica Township, and one in Somers Point.

Tuesday, Nov. 17: There were 117 new cases.
