Josephine Marr, 79

The family of Josephine Marr sadly announces her peaceful passing on April 29, 2022, at the age of 79. Jo will be dearly missed by her sister, Barbara Kuryea; niece, Kim Kuryea, Kim’s husband, Steve Martin, and their son, Cole Martin. Jo was predeceased by her husband, David, in 2019, brother-in-law, John Kuryea, in 2020 and her sister, Dee Tighe in 2021.

She was born March 18, 1943. Jo graduated from Gwynedd Mercy College and moved to Ocean City, NJ where she married David, her husband of 52 years. Jo worked side by side with Dave in Ocean City for many years at the real estate business he established in 1964, Marr Agency. They eventually retired and moved full time to Naples, FL, after being seasonal residents for many years.

Jo was devoted to her husband, sisters, extended family and friends of many years. All who knew Jo will remember her as a kind and gentle woman. Her sister, Dee, often described Jo as beautiful like a butterfly. Jo was lucky enough to live and enjoy life fully in two beach communities, Ocean City and Naples with family and friends.

Jo’s family would like to thank the caring staff at Brightview Senior Living in Fairfax, VA, where she lived for the last eight months.

A funeral mass for Jo will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, May 6, 2022, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Avenue North, Naples, FL with entombment to follow at Naples Memorial Gardens. The mass will be live streamed at https://saintjohntheevangelist.com/events/online-funeral-mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org. Online condolences at www.fullernaples.com
