PLEASE TAKE NOTICE

Please take notice that JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. (“Chase”), the owner of the former Republic Bank property located at 201 E. 9th Street and known as Bock 808, Lot 1 on the City of Ocean City Tax Assessment Map has made application to the City of Ocean City Planning Board for Preliminary and Final Site Plan Approval together with a variance  from § 25-1700.29.12.b of the Ocean City Code to permit a freestanding monument identification sign because a monument sign is not permitted in the DB Zone and, if required, variances from § 25-1700.29.12.f.1(g) to permit the sign to be setback 3 feet from the closest parking space rather than 8.5 feet and to allow the sign to be 17 feet in height where the height limitation is 15 feet.  The applicant will request any additional variances, waiver or other relief required by the Board after its review of this application. 

The City of Ocean City Planning Board has scheduled a public hearing to review the application for September 2, 2026, at 6:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers on the third floor of City Hall, 861 Asbury Avenue, Ocean City, NJ 08226, at which time you may appear, in person or with an attorney, if you wish to be heard with respect to this application.  The application forms, plans and supporting documents are available for review at the Office of the Land Use Administrator, in the Henry Knight Building, 115 E. 12th Street, Ocean City, New Jersey, during normal business hours.
