Vincent D. Di Renzo, 91

Vincent D. Di Renzo, 91 of Nazareth, PA, passed away on May 14, 2022, at Moravian Hall Square in the loving care of the staff and his two nephews, their wives, and children.

Born May 2, 1931, in Philadelphia, he was the son of Dr. Vincent and Carmella Di Renzo.

He was a graduate of Frankford High School, class of 1949.

He worked for the Frankford Arsenal of Philadelphia for several years after graduation until joining the Army to serve his country during the Korean Conflict.  He served at Ft. Eustis, VA and at Thule Air Base in Greenland until being honorably discharged.  He returned to work at the Arsenal and attended night school at LaSalle University earning a BS in Management.  He retired from the Arsenal in 1981.

Vince spent his life caring for his cherished mother and younger sister after his father’s premature passing.  He had a passion for military history and was an avid reader on the topic, especially that of the Roman Empire.  Vince was a very generous and affable man with a terrific sense of humor and contagious laugh.  He regularly and jokingly attempted to shroud his government work at the Arsenal as a ruse for being a secret agent and would entertain his young nephews often with his fictional story telling about his secret life.

Vincent is survived by his two nephews, Louis and his wife Cindy, and Robert and his wife Laura, both of Easton, a grandnephew, Ethan, and three grandnieces, Lauren, Regina, and Andrea.  Along with his parents, Vince was predeceased by his brother, Louis and his wife Dorothy, and sister, Joan.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Strunk Funeral Home, 2101 Northampton St. in Easton, PA on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 10-11am.  A private family graveside service will be held at Vince’s final resting place in Philadelphia.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Vince’s name may be made to the Good Samaritan Fund at Moravian Hall Square, 175 W. North St. Nazareth, PA 18064.
