Unlocking the ocean, Business Persons Plunge

OCEAN CITY, NEW JERSEY – Miss New Jersey Belle Nicholas, Fred Miller and Mayor Jay Gillian turn the key Friday, May 22, to officially unlock the Atlantic Ocean in Ocean City for the summer tourist season.

After that was the annual Business Persons Plunge, when local business people and others marched into the ocean. That included City Councilman-elect Jim Kelly and other dignitaries.
