SEA ISLE CITY – Sea Isle City’s Division of Tourism Office announced the line-up for this year’s Saturday Night “Concerts Under the Stars” and details about other weekly summer events.
Family Fun Nights take place on Mondays at Excursion Park, 7:30 to 9 p.m. June 28 to Aug. 30. This free children’s event combines a Character Show, DJ Dance Party and other activities, with different characters featured each week (609-263-8687).
The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce will host their weekly Farmers Market each Tuesday at Excursion Park from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Sept. 7. The Farmers Market will offer shoppers a variety of Jersey Fresh Produce, crafts and specialty items (609- 263-9090).
Guided Beachcomber Tours will take place on Tuesday mornings on the 29th Street Beach (June 28 to Sept. 7) and Thursday mornings at Townsend Inlet Waterfront Park (July 1 to Sept. 2). These free, family-friendly, one-hour educational walks along the beach begin at 10 a.m. – and they are a fun way to learn about the local eco-system (215-595-4601).
Free Family Movies Under the Stars are offered on Wednesday nights at Excursion Park, July 7 to Sept. 1, at dusk. A different kid-friendly movie will be shown each Wednesday evening (609-263-8687).
The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce will host Acoustic Open Mic Nights for ages 14-20 on Thursdays from 9 to 11 p.m. at Excursion Park, July 8 to August 19. During this free event, teens can enjoy karaoke, corn-hole, and pick-up volleyball games with the Sea Isle City Police Department. July 24: Kick It Out (Heart Tribute).
July 31: Elton John Tribute.
Aug. 7: Seven Bridges (Eagles Tribute).
Aug. 14: Countdown to Ecstasy (Steely Dan Tribute).
Aug. 21: Classic Stones Glimmer Twins (Rolling Stones Tribute).
Aug. 28: Motor City Revue (Motown Tribute).
Sept. 4: Jesse Garron (Elvis Tribute).
All events are weather permitting. Spectators are reminded to bring folding chairs and/or beach blankets to recline on the lawn at Excursion Park during movies and concerts.
