Monihan, Custer to be honored at Salute to Working Women

Dottie McCrosson is the featured speaker

OCEAN CITY — The Ocean City Regional Chamber of Commerce will celebrate women leaders at its annual Salute to Working Women event April 16.

This year, Lindsay Monihan, owner and manager of Monihan Realty, will be recognized as the main honoree for her leadership in business and significant contributions to the community. Jane Custer will receive the Community Service Award, and Dottie McCrosson will serve as the event’s guest speaker.

Monihan has successfully led Monihan Realty, a third-generation family business, while modernizing operations and maintaining its tradition of excellence. Since assuming leadership in 2022, following a 15-year career at JPMorgan Investment Bank, she has enhanced the client experience, implemented advanced performance systems, and oversees a team of 20 agents and 10 staff members. Monihan is also deeply committed to community service, serving on the Executive Board of the Chamber, the Board of Directors for the Ocean City Board of Realtors, and actively supporting the Renee Parker Monihan Foundation.

Custer is being honored with the Community Service Award for her outstanding dedication to education and her community. A longtime substitute teacher in the Ocean City School District, Custer has supported students, sports programs, and recreational activities while volunteering for elderly neighbors, Gilda’s Club, and her church ministry. Her devotion to family is equally remarkable, including supporting her daughter and grandchildren during serious illness and leading scholarship initiatives in her daughter’s memory.

McCrosson, the event’s guest speaker, brings a distinguished record of leadership and public service. An accomplished attorney, she has served as president of the Cape May County Bar Association and trustee of the Cape May County Bar Association. She currently serves as solicitor for the city of Ocean City and president of the Cape May County Bar Foundation. McCrosson has received numerous accolades for her professional excellence, including the 2010 Cape May County Bar Association Professional Lawyer of the Year.

The Salute to Working Women event celebrates individuals who exemplify leadership, resilience, and a commitment to making a difference. This year’s honorees reflect the values of dedication, service, and inspiration that the Chamber seeks to honor.

The luncheon will be at noon Thursday, April 16,  at the Ocean City Yacht Club, 100 Bay Road. For more information about the event, contact the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce at info@oceancitychamber.com or call (609) 399-1412.
