Mayor’s Town Hall meeting Saturday

OCEAN CITY – The public is invited to a mayor’s town hall meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, in the Chris Maloney Lecture Hall at the Ocean City Free Public Library.

Mayor Jay Gillian and members of the city team will provide updates on new services and projects and answer questions from the attendees.

During the City Council meeting Aug. 20, Gillian said an outdated rendering of the 34th Street playground plans has been circulating on social media.

Gillian said the outdated rendering makes the playground look smaller, but in actuality it will be bigger than it is now.

“I want to encourage anybody who’s interested in this project to attend the town hall to see the real plans for this and other projects,” Gillian added in his weekly message posted on the city’s website, ocnj.us. “Video of the meeting will be available for those who can’t make it.”
