Mary Lucy Flynn 

Mary Lucy Flynn died peacefully at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, WA, on Sept. 9th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.  

Born April 10, 1947, she was the daughter of John and Geraldine Kelley Flynn.  She was born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in Ocean City, NJ. She graduated from St Augustine’s School in Ocean City, and Holy Spirit High School in Absecon.

Of note, she was the first female mail carrier in Ocean City.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and sister Kathleen.

She is survived by her daughter Miriam Alison Flynn (Chris Edgcomb), and grandsons Colt and Jack Edgcomb.  She is also survived by her siblings John V Flynn (Lorna), Gerard Flynn, Marianne DeGoede (Jack), Miriam Flynn, Maureen Gove (Jeff), Gerry  Morrison (Mike), and 16 nieces and nephews.

Grandma Mary loved family, the beach, baking, reading, the movies, the Mariners and Seahawks, and wine tasting.  Her apple pies, chili, gazpacho, and egg nog were legendary.

She will be very much missed by her family and friends.

Anyone who knew Mary has a story to tell.
