Marmora man killed in crash Saturday on Tuckahoe Road

MARMORA — A Marmora man died from injuries suffered in a two-car accident Saturday, April 2, on Tuckahoe Road and two others were injured.

According to published reports, John Creamer, 56, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which took place at about 1:15 p.m. between Church and Butter roads, according to State Police.

The Marmora Volunteer Fire Company, Upper Township Division of EMS and Upper Township Rescue Squad also responded to the scene of the accident. Seaville Fire and Rescue and Tuckahoe Volunteer Fire Company also were dispatched as automatic aid.

Firefighters said that when they arrived, one vehicle’s engine compartment was on fire and a person was trapped inside the vehicle.

They quickly extinguished the fire and kept it contained to the engine compartment. Two people were transported to a local hospital. 

Firefighters remained on the scene for more than five hours assisting the State Police and the Medical Examiner’s Office with the investigation. 

Fire police officers from Marmora and Seaville diverted traffic at the scene. There were no injuries to first responders.
