JAMES H. KING, 77

James “Jim” King, 77, of Philadelphia, formerly of Marmora, died suddenly Oct. 19, 2023, at home.

The youngest of six children, Jim was born to Anna King (née Waslaski) on Feb. 18, 1946. Jim grew up in Ocean City and attended Ocean City High School, graduating in 1964. He then attended the New Jersey Police Academy in Sea Girt and served as patrolman for the Ocean City Police Department from 1971-1994.

Jim enjoyed golf, encouraging his kids, the boardwalk, Philly sports, a well-prepared pork chop and never accepted that disco was dead.

Jim is survived by his wife Dianna King (née Goodson), daughter Nicole Bastholm (Robert), son Christopher King (Victoria) and granddaughter Alexandra. Services will be private.
