HELEN C. BIGGS, 93

Helen C. Biggs, 93, of Marmora, passed away Oct. 22, 2023.

Helen was born to Howard and Ethel DeLancey on April 24,1930. She married Morton Biggs Jr. in 1954 and they built their home together in Marmora.

She was a loving mother to their boys Donald and Daniel. Although she did work outside the home, her proudest accomplishments were helping her family and keeping her home.

The family was known for having a large garden, providing fresh vegetables for the neighborhood, and her house was always meticulously kept.

Many also fondly remember her helping in the office at her son’s business, Dan’s Welding. She was a huge NASCAR fan and finally got to go to her first race at the age of 91!

Helen will always be remembered for her great kindness, generosity and of course her coleslaw!

Helen was proceeded in death by her parents, Howard and Ethel DeLancey; husband Morton Jr. and Son Donald M.; step mother Freda DeLancey and sister Dorothy (Dot) Johnson.

She is survived by her son Daniel M. (Liz), daughter-in-law Cheri Biggs, brother Howard DeLancey ( Linda), sister Barbara Bufalo and many nieces and nephews.

She was loved by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who enjoyed visiting and affectionately referred to her as “ Miss Helen.”
