Gillian opens campaign HQ in downtown Ocean City

OCEAN CITY – The Committee to Re-Elect Mayor Jay A. Gillian has opened campaign headquarters in the heart of Ocean City’s downtown. 

Located at 854 Asbury Ave., the headquarters is staffed by a large group of campaign volunteers working to re-elect Mayor Gillian in the local municipal election scheduled for May 10. 

Gillian is being challenged by Ocean City Councilman Keith Hartzell.

There are also six candidates running for three at-large council seats – incumbents Pete Madden and Karen Bergman, newcomers John “Tony P” Polcini and Donna Moore, incumbent Second Ward Councilman Tom Rotondi and former First Ward councilman Michael DeVlieger.

Local voters are invited to stop by the Gillian campaign headquarters between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily. (Hours will expand as the election approaches.) Voters can pledge their support, offer to volunteer, request yard signs, and pick up voter registration, absentee / vote by mail applications, as well as campaign materials such as car magnets and buttons.

During his three terms as mayor, Gillian has governed in accordance with his guiding principle of “Unity in the Community.” focusing on an unprecedented record of infrastructure improvements, expansion of services, fiscal responsibility and improved property values. He said he is seeking another term to build on the progress.

 Ocean City has achieved for all residents, visitors and investors during his tenure as Mayor.
