Flags for the Forgotten

OCEAN CITY – The Knights of Columbus has set up its Flags for the Forgotten display in the park at the base of the Route 52 causeway into Ocean City. Flags for the Forgotten was founded by Howard Berry to raise awareness about the high rate of suicide among military veterans. The display typically features 660 American flags symbolizing the estimated number of U.S. military veterans who die each month by suicide. Help is available for veterans around the clock. Call or text 988 or call (800) 273-8255 and press 1 to reach the free, confidential Veterans Crisis Line.
