Edward Kamboorian, 94

Edward Kamboorian, age 94, of Ocean City, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025.

Born in New York City and raised in the neighborhood of Washington Heights, he was the son of Levon Kamboorian and Saran Kondrajian, and the youngest brother to Aram and Albert Kamboorian.

Ed was Uncle to Lisa, Karen, Gary, Gregory, Christine, and Diana, Great-uncle to Victoria and many others, and fond cousin of Paul, Sallee, Ken, Russell, and Candace.  Ed survived many of his relatives over the years.

Ed worked as a broadcast technician for ABC and CBS. He was an avid historian, traveler, and loved Atlantic City life. He had a lifelong sense of fierce independence, an astounding memory, a keen interest in daily news and world events, and a truly kind heart.

Although he lived in several places in the tri-state area and still faithfully read the New York newspapers daily to keep up with life there, it was in Ocean City where Ed found his true home and happiness, and where he lived for many years.

Of much importance to him, especially in his later years, were all those a part of his daily world who became his village, and to whom his family owes much gratitude and recognition:  Dr Gary Raab and staff, all his caring friends at Jon and Patty’s, Yianni’s Cafe, the staff of Acme Supermarket pharmacy and PNC Bank, the Ocean City Senior Center, Patricia and Yalexus of the Ocean City/Vineland Housing Authority, Stacey of Cape May County Aging and Disability Services, Arelis of Cape May County Social Services, so many of the wonderful employees at Shore Medical Center, and others too numerous to name.

Cremation arrangements were made through Direct Cremations, Neptune NJ and will be followed by a family memorial in Spring, with interment alongside his brother in Paramus NJ.
