Doo Dah Parade in Ocean City

Ocean City’s annual Doo Dah Parade kicked off at noon Saturday and marched down Asbury Avenue before heading east on 12th Street and up to the boardwalk. There was the Hobo Band, the Jersey String Band, and other string bands and performers, but as usual, the Tri-State Bassett Hound Rescue League with its hundreds of members stole the show as they brought their low-slung pups along for the walk (or ride). The parade featured people in costume, including characters from “Ghostbusters” and “Star Wars” along with grand marshall Mark Howe, a Philadelphia Flyers great, not to mention various queens, including Little Miss Ocean City Harper Juelg.
