Ann Louise Dotti, 70

Ann Louise Dotti, who was born March 24, 1950,     died January 20, 2021.

Ann was a multitalented person, noted for her creative approach to both teaching and baking, a loving sister, aunt and friend to people and animals alike.   She was an avid reader a patron of the movies and longtime resident of Medford, New Jersey.   She most recently resided at the Methodist Community at the Shores of Ocean City, New Jersey.   She was noted for her special creative baking and decorating skills:   cookies, treat bags, and home made fudge, which she shared with her students, family and friends.

Ann started out as a school secretary and acting Board of Education Secretary of the Ocean City Public Schools.   While working full time, she was determined to join the ranks of teachers (following her parents, brother, sister-in-law, aunts and uncles) by attending night and weekend college courses until she earned her bachelors’ degree.   While teaching, she continued her education, earning a masters’ degree as a reading specialist/elementary teacher.   She taught in Burlington City Schools and Shamong Township Schools before retiring.   Ann was recognized as an outstanding educator by her school and Governor Thomas Kean. 

Ann was also a generous supporter of numerous animal shelters and rights groups. She rescued many dogs (Mandy, Peanut, Sparky, Maggie, Suzie, Barney and Bree).

Ann is survived by her brother, Robert A. M. Dotti, his wife, Ardeth L. Dotti, niece Kieran E. L. Dotti (of L.A.) and nephew Craig M. R. Dotti. (of Delran)

Her graveside internment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 4527 U.S. Highway Route 130, Burlington, N.J. 08016, on February 4, 2021 at 11:00 A.M.   The Reverend Dr. Robert Williams and his wife, Renee will preside.   Friends are welcome to join us.    

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ocean City Animal Shelter, 1 Shelter Road, Ocean City, N.J. 08226.

The world was better because of her love and will miss her.
