Jeanne Mathews Bross

In loving memory of Jeanne Mathews Bross, who passed peacefully in her sleep early morning June 3, 2022, in Parkland, Florida.

Jeanne was born June 2, 1927 in Lower Merion Township and raised in West Philadelphia, PA. She graduated from West Philadelphia High School and attended Penn State University, where she received her bachelor degree and was a sister of Alpha Omicron Pi. From infancy, she spent her summers in Ocean City, NJ at her family home on 4th and Asbury Avenue, which served as the family summer residence for almost eighty years. Jeanne was a participant in the 1929 Ocean City Baby Parade. She met Bob Bross in Ocean City and they married in September 1953 and remained together until her husband’s death in 1993. Jeanne was an avid card player, spending most of her adult summer days playing bridge with her friends and family on 15th Street beach. She enjoyed dancing with her husband and socializing with her OC crowd, celebrating many Night in Venice boat parades.

Jeanne is predeceased by her husband Bob and her three sisters Betty, Doris and Kitty. She is survived by her two sons Michael (Maryann) and Christopher (Amy) and her two grandchildren Jack and Samantha.
