Mary A. Migeot Eggly, 94

Mary A. Migeot Eggly, 94, of Ocean City passed away peacefully surrounded by family On March 26, 2022. Mary was born in Philadelphia on February 24. 1928 to Edna and Russell G. Migeot. Mary attended St. Leonard’s High School and graduated from Moore College of Art and Design with MFA in Interior Design. She founded her own business, creating home furnishings and for over 30 years, Mary was a lighting consultant for Pullen Electric.  

 Mary was in her garden every day, was a member of the garden club, and participated in many flower shows. She and her husband Jay loved entertaining on their sailboat, The Bumbershoot, and in their backyard. She was a member of the OCYC for about 62 years. She and Jay enjoyed many years entertaining children at Grandparents Day at the Yacht Club. She was on the OCYC Board of Directors as well.

 Mary loved skiing and traveled to over 40 ski areas in the US and Europe! Her grandson, Jay Hydren enjoys the sport having been inspired by his grandparents from an early age. Jay and his family now live in Utah.

 Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband Jay Eggly, brother Robert Migeot, sister Antoinette (Netsey) Martin, and son Warren Eggly. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon, son-in-law, Richard, grandson and wife, Jay and Amie, and her great-granddaughter, Skylar, brother Russell and his wife Marguerite, and multiple generations of nieces & nephews. 

 A Memorial Celebration on Sat. June 25 at 10:00 AM will be held in Ocean City. Please email Sharon at portrait@hydren.com
