Multilevel beauty awaits new family in residential Gardens section of Ocean City

OCEAN CITY — The magnificent multilevel home at 25 W. Station Road is an architectural gem in the popular Gardens section of this beach resort.

Featuring multiple peaked roofs, porches both covered and open to the sun and a combination of cedar-impression vinyl and board-and-batten siding, the home has a handsome white-on-gray color scheme inside and outside.

“Decks, covered porches and a balcony give you multiple choices for catching a summer breeze,” listing agent Dean Chorin said.

With five bedrooms on three levels — including the master suite up top — four bathrooms, a family room plus an open-design great room, there is plenty of space for a large family and friends. The elevator makes the home accessible to all, with six stops beginning with the ground floor just off the two-car attached garage.

The 2,900-square-foot home’s design provides two large spaces for gathering as well as privacy in each of the oversized bedrooms because of their separation.

Out front, the new concrete sidewalk leads up to the paver brick parking pad large enough for two cars. Two more can fit inside the garage to the left, which has separate doors.

The grassy front yard gives way to mulched flowerbeds that line the stacked-stone foundation skirt, while wide composite steps ascend to the covered main porch. A second porch to the right is just off the dining area.

At the main entrance, a black keyless-entry door with leaded glass and side panels opens onto the foyer, where the quality of the materials and craftsmanship are immediately evident.

The medium-plank hardwood flooring extends throughout the house, leading right into the great room. Steps along the left wall lead up to the third level, where the first bedroom is located, and continue up to three more levels.

Split in half, the large great room features the living room in the front of the house and the dining area and kitchen in the back.

To the right is a sitting area where a sectional sofa and a couple of armchairs are arranged around a gas fireplace with a marble hearth. A large television hangs on the wall above. The 9-foot ceiling increases the feeling of spaciousness.

In the rear corner, the dining area features a wood table with a bench and five chairs beneath a modern chandelier. A sliding glass door opens onto the side porch. Three clerestory windows provide more natural light.

Just steps away, more seating is provided at the large quartz-topped center island with five stools on one side and an undercounter microwave, dishwasher and stainless-steel farmhouse sink on the other.

Abundant fabuwood cabinets line the rear wall. The quartz countertop is white with streaks of gray. Even the backsplash and side of the island are quartz. The cabinets are white with black hardware. Stainless-steel appliances include a 7-foot-tall GE Monogram two-door refrigerator/freezer and a six-burner range/oven, as well as a Scotsman icemaker.

A hallway off the kitchen leads to the elevator and a powder room. There also is an exterior door with stairs leading down to the backyard.

Heading back toward the foyer, a stairway leads down to the garage.

The home’s first bedroom is to the left atop the first flight of stairs. It has a two full-size beds and is designed to accentuate the height, with a 9-foot-high ceiling and 8-foot-tall doors on the closet and bathroom, as well as the sliding glass door that opens onto a private deck. Featuring a tile floor and navy-blue OVE vanity, the bathroom has a fully tiled shower with a sliding glass door.

Back on the landing, the elevator is to the left and another flight of stairs rises to the fourth level, where there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a laundry closet just off a large landing.

The first bathroom is to the left and has a tile floor, handsome wood Bertch USA vanity with a one-piece top and a fiberglass tub with tiled walls and a sliding glass door.

On the same side, the next room features a queen-size bed, bureau and nightstand, as well as a wall-mounted television.

Across on the right, the third bedroom has a full-size bed, an en suite bath and access to a private deck. The final bedroom is on the rear corner.

Back at the landing, the ceiling soars 20 feet above a rustic bureau filled with extra towels. A large window creates a light and bright trip up to the fifth level, where a large family room is to the left. The spacious room has a sloped, multiangled cathedral ceiling and access to a large deck. A card table to the left features four upholstered chairs while a sofa, love seat and chair are arranged around a wall-mounted television.

The final flight of stairs ascends to the master suite, with its view of Great Egg Harbor Bay. It has a king-size bed, chest of drawers and two nightstands. The wall behind the bed has horizontal planks of shiplap, reminiscent of the board-and-batten siding.

A pocket door opens onto the bath, which has a tile floor, granite-topped vanity with his and hers sinks and a fully tiled shower.

Out back, a long, narrow yard would be perfect for pitching horseshoes. There’s also an enclosed outside shower.

A city park is just at the end of the block on North Street, while the popular north end beaches are just a short bike ride away.

Ocean City is one of the most popular shore resorts on the East Coast, featuring a 2.5-mile-long oceanfront boardwalk filled with hundreds of shopping, dining and entertainment venues, as well as miles and miles of pristine beaches.

There’s also the popular watersports district, stretching from Second to Fourth streets on Bay Avenue, where the brave can rent powerboats, go parasailing, join the crew of a pirate ship and take a kayak tour of the back bays. Private and party boat fishing tours are also available.

The property is listed for $2,499,900 with Dean Chorin of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Fox & Roach Realtors. Call (609) 602-0313 or email dean.chorin@foxroach.com for more information or to set up an appointment to see this wonderful home.
