STRATHMERE — The Strathmere Fishing and Environmental Club is hosting a food drive from 9 a.m. to noon July 4 that will benefit the Church of the Resurrection Food Pantry in Marmora.
The group is seeking non-perishable items, essential household goods and monetary donations to help support local families in need. Drop off is at the Strathmere Fire House.
‘Revolutionary Lives’
exhibit in Somers Pt.
SOMERS POINT — The Atlantic County Historical Society will be hosting a free traveling exhibit produced by the state of New Jersey titled “Revolutionary Lives.”
Hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 10-11, July 14 to 18 and July 21 to 24 at 907 Shore Road.
A special viewing time is set for 6:30 p.m. July 13, when a George Washington re-enactor will be present. Refreshments will be available that evening. Parking is available in the rear and side of the building.

GALLOWAY – A comedy night July 16 will benefit the nonprofit FACES 4 Autism.
Stand Up 4 Autism 16 will feature comedian Craig Shoemaker at the Seaview Hotel, A Destination by Hyatt in Galloway. Doors open at 5 p.m., a buffet dinner is at 6 p.m and the comedy show begins at 7:30 p.m. There also will be music, raffles, 50/50 and an awards presentation.
Since 2002, the organization has educated and supported families experiencing autism throughout the lifespan in Atlantic, Cape May and Ocean counties.

School supply drive
in Upper Township
UPPER TOWNSHIP – The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 239 of Tuckahoe is sponsoring a school supply drive this summer for needy students in Upper Township.
New supplies are appreciated. They include notebooks, composition books, two-pocket folders, zippered pencil cases, pencils, highlighters, Elmer’s glue and/or glue sticks, Crayola markers, crayons and colored pencils, scotch tape rolls, masking tape, index cards, black sharpies, loose leaf paper and acrylic paint. Even new backpacks are needed.
Supplies can be dropped off during normal business hours at the following locations: Larry’s 50s Diner on Rt. 50, Tuckahoe; Rooted Wellness, Wayside Village, 38 Tuckahoe Road, Marmora; Salon 21, Rt. 50, Seaville; and each of the three Upper Township schools.
The supply drive will continue from Memorial Day weekend until Aug. 31. Look for the red donation box.

Jersey Shore Pops

Linda Gentille & The Jersey Shore Pops has announced the lineup for the 2026 concert season.
They will open the season with a special tribute to America’s 250th anniversary celebration at 7 p.m. July 25 at Lower Cape May Regional High School.
“Stars & Stripes Forever” will feature the amazing comedy piano entertainer as Gentille dazzles and conducts from the piano. The show will be a tribute to the great American composers such as Gershwin, Berlin, Porter and Stephen Foster.
Gentille performs around the world on luxury cruise ships and on land. Her show includes artistry, comedy and memory tricks.
“Judy & Liza” is a tribute show at the Gateway Playhouse in Somers Point. Shows are set for 2 and 6 p.m. Oct. 24. Tickets are $40 and can be ordered (609) 653-0553.
“A Bocelli Christmas” is a tribute to Andre Bocelli at 3 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Middle Township Performing Arts Center. The show will feature the music of Bocelli along with holiday favorites.

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — The Cape May County Library System hosts Al-Anon, Memory Café and Family Support Groups.
Al-Anon supports those whose lives have been affected by another person’s alcoholism. Memory Café is a place for those experiencing memory loss and their caregivers and family members. Family Support Group is an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) that provides support for adults with a loved one living with a mental health condition.
Al-Anon is held at 11 a.m. each Thursday and Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Lower Cape branch in Villas.

OCEAN CITY — The Grief Support Group, open to any adult who is grieving the death of a loved one, is invited to attend a safe and caring gathering at 6:30 p.m. every other Tuesday year-round at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church, corner of Eighth Street and Central Avenue, Ocean City.
There is no need to be a church member or from Ocean City to attend. “It is a time to share your story, to tell of your grief and talk of your loved one. Support Group
OCEAN CITY — St. John Lutheran Church, Journey Hospice, and The Shores — a United Methodist Communities (UMC) community — are partnering to offer a monthly Grief Support Group for adults who are navigating the difficult journey of loss.
The group provides a safe, welcoming and confidential space where individuals can come together to share their experiences, listen, and support one another. Whether someone has recently experienced a loss or is still processing grief from years past, all are welcome.
Meetings will be held in person on the second Wednesday of every month from 11 a.m. to noon at St. John Lutheran Church, 1001 Central Ave.
“Grief is a deeply personal experience, but it doesn’t have to be experienced alone,” group coordinators Beth Gebhart and Michele Musto said. “This group is about honoring each person’s journey and finding hope in shared understanding.”
The group is free and open to all adults, regardless of background or faith.

Crisis Intervention
Families who are experiencing serious difficulties in managing the behavior of children 10 to 17 years old for whom they are responsible can seek assistance through the Atlantic County Juvenile/Family Crisis Intervention Unit (FCIU).
FCIU is a legally mandated program that is available 24 hours a day to intercede in family conflicts and help strengthen the family unit. Its services include short-term crisis stabilization, family assessment, case management, treatment planning and referrals to appropriate community-based services.
FCIU is available to meet in-person by appointment with youth and their families from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at 101 Shore Road in Northfield. Appointments can also be conducted by phone or as a virtual meeting to help de-escalate and resolve family conflicts.

for depression
Online screening for depression and postpartum depression is available at mhaac.info/screening.
The confidential screening involves 10 questions related to topics such as sleep habits, appetite, concentration and level of energy. Resources and recommendations are offered at the end of the survey.
