Upgraded condo sports fantastic location steps from beach, boardwalk

OCEAN CITY — The four-bedroom condominium at 816 E. Sixth St., Unit C, is perfect for a family on the go.

It is ideally located for easy access to everything America’s Greatest Family Resort has to offer — miles of pristine beaches stretching along the deep-blue sea; the world-famous waterfront boardwalk featuring entertainment, shopping and dining venues; boating, fishing and other watersports; and an award-winning downtown with upscale boutiques.

It’s also just steps from public recreational facilities offering basketball, tennis, shuffleboard and a state-of-the-art running track.

An active family will find much to do just steps away from the top-floor Unit C, which offers amazing views of the ocean from the front deck.

A paver drive provides access to a two-car detached garage with a concrete floor offering abundant space for automobiles, surfboards, personal watercraft and other beach gear. There’s also a garage for each of the other two units in the complex.

A door off the drive opens onto a tiled common foyer. Around to the left, a stairwell leads up to the private entrance on the third floor.

Built in 1908, at one point the house was remodeled and reconfigured into three condos where inside everything has been modernized.

The door opens onto a hallway with the open-concept great room to the right and the bedrooms to the left.

In the great room, there is engineered hardwood flooring. The combination of the lofty vaulted ceiling and open floorplan makes the space feel even larger than it is. Add to that the multiple windows, and the space is airy, light and bright.

On the left, the kitchen has a two-level granite-topped island with stools on one side. The dark wood cabinets are by HomeCrest, a higher-end product used in all of the bathrooms as well.

More cabinets run along two walls with more granite and a subway-tile backsplash. Stainless-steel GE appliances include a dishwasher to the right of a stainless-steel sink, a four-burner gas range with a microwave above and a refrigerator with a top freezer. Pendant lighting hangs above the island and cooking area.

Just steps away, the dining area has a table that seats six beneath a lamp hanging from high above. The house is set up for a crowd, with more created by the use of a couple of tables in the living room behind the sectional sofa facing the wall-mounted television.

In addition to the upgraded appliances, the home has shadow-box wainscoting throughout the living room, adding a touch of class that also is easy to clean and durable. Three windows on the side plus two flanking the sliding glass door on the front allow natural light to flow in.

Down the hall, a powder room is to the right, close to the kitchen and great room for convenience. It has slate-tile flooring in an irregular pattern, a granite-topped vanity and a linen closet.

The first of the four bedrooms also is on the right. Like the other three, it has “luxury vinyl flooring … for a carefree lifestyle,” according to the write-up of the property by real estate agent Leslie Harshaw. The room has a double bed that, like all of the other furnishings, is included in the sale.

Across the hall is the second bedroom, this one with bunk beds — a twin above a double — and a closet with double bi-fold doors.

Back on the right is a full bathroom with a tile floor, granite-topped vanity with his and hers sinks and a porcelain tub with walls tiled to the ceiling and a curtain.

Two more bedrooms are located at the end of the hall, with the one on the right featuring twin beds.

On the left, the master bedroom has an en suite bath as well as a king-size bed and his and hers closets. The bathroom has a fully tiled shower with a swinging glass door and a granite-topped vanity.

There also is a laundry closet and an enclosed outside shower, as well as a huge attic that possibly could be converted into more living space.

For those looking for an action-packed vacation for themselves and their family and frineds, this is the perfect property.

The home is listed for $859,000 with Leslie Harshaw of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Fox & Roach Realtors. Call (609) 685-4951 or (609) 399-8200 or email leslie.harshaw@roxroach.com for more information or to set up a tour of this wonderful home.
