Somers Point condo offers sunrise views at sheltered marina

SOMERS POINT — What’s better than a wonderfully located, low-maintenance condominium home with a beautiful sunrise view over Great Egg Harbor Bay?

The completely renovated three-level unit with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms at 104 Harbour Cove Marina, recently listed by real estate agent Gray Haenn of Monihan Realty.

Seller Joan Hanson personally chose all of the materials when she purchased the property three years ago and had it gutted and completely renovated.

“I really put a lot of care into the renovations. I had a vision and made it happen,” Hanson said.

The second-floor home has a custom open-concept kitchen, large living area with brand new Coretec flooring, plenty of natural light throughout and a fantastic view from two decks overlooking the bay and popular marina.

Atop the brick stairs, the main door opens to reveal a meticulously clean, bright and welcoming home with abundant natural light flowing in through the oversized sliding glass door overlooking the marina.

The light flooring combined with the crisp, white walls, cabinets and furnishings make the spacious area feel even larger, and accented in blue evokes the desired nautical effect.

A wood table beneath a modern chandelier to the right seats six, while there is room for several bar stools at the quartz-topped center island in the kitchen to the left.

The island and abundant cabinetry is by fabuwood, a high-end manufacturer, and have soft-close, self-close doors and drawers. The white quartz countertop on the island also tops those along the outside wall.

Appliances include a GE electric double oven with smooth cook-top stove, built-in GE microwave, Bosch dishwasher and LG refrigerator/freezer.

Stretching across the front of the home to take advantage of the view, the living room has a vented gas fireplace with a Italian marble tile, a wood mantel and 24-inch charred rugged split oak log set. Directly above the fireplace is a 50-inch wall-mounted Vizio television.

A sectional sofa provides seating atop a thick area rug.

The covered deck outside provides a pleasant, shaded area to watch the boats come and go below. It has a storage room to either side and a spiral staircase that descends to the boardwalk and boat launch.

Heading back past the main entrance, carpeted stairs rise to the second level. A handsome custom-stained red oak railing provides support and the skylight above natural light, when not covered by a custom pleated shade. In the evening, landing lights provide illumination on all levels of stairs.

The second level features a large carpeted landing open to the third floor, with doors opening onto two bedrooms and a bathroom.

In the back left, the first bedroom has wall-to-wall carpeting, a closet with mirrored bi-fold door, while the second bedroom has a king-size bed and a closet with mirrored double-sliding doors. Both bedrooms have plantation shutters and custom California closets.

A hall off the landing leads back to a full bathroom with a tile floor, fabuwood vanity with quartz top and a luxury walk-in shower with pebbled stone flooring and a swinging glass door. The shower features a rain head plus a regular shower head and a tempered glass enclosure.

Across the hall, the laundry has plantation double bi-fold doors that open to reveal a full size GE washer and dryer.

Atop another set of carpeted stairs, the third level features a luxurious master suite with Masland by Key West carpeting. It has plenty of room for a king-size bed and a love seat alongside the second gas fireplace.

The walk-in closet provides a lot of storage as well as access to the attic.

A new three-panel sliding glass door by Anderson opens onto the spacious sundeck overlooking the bay and marina. This deck also has stairs descending to the boardwalk.

Not to be overlooked behind its pocket door is the master bathroom with its tile floor; deep soaking tub with cascading waterfall faucet, air jets and lights; and party-size shower with dual rain heads, standard heads and multiple body jets behind tempered glass.

A pleasant bonus it the TOTO brand electric bidet featuring a soft-close heated seat and remote control. There is also an 80-gallon water tank to help keep the tub hot.

Outside, there are two spots stacked, one covered, and guest parking nearby. A private storage room is at the bottom of the sheltered stairway that ascends to the main entrance. Other storage rooms are located on each of the rear decks.

Somers Point has a historic bayfront district featuring popular restaurants, museums, art galleries and gift shops, as well as live music and entertainment a block away on Shore Road. It’s just 2.5 miles away from Ocean City across the Route 52 causeway.

The property is listed for $750,000 with Gray Haenn of Monihan Realty. Call (215) 421-7609 or email gray@monihan.com for more information or to set up an appointment to tour this wonderful home.
