Ricky Lewis Hollingshead, 64

Ricky Lewis Hollingshead, age 64, died at Shore Memorial Hospital on May 10, 2023. Born in Shore Memorial Hospital, he lived in Ocean City, NJ, graduating from Ocean City High School in 1977. He  worked in construction for over 30 years, including EarthWorks from 1979 until his retirement in 2002. Rick was a lover of all animals and was known to take in every stray he could find. He was a gentle and kind soul, and could make anyone laugh. A diehard Eagles fan, he also enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and listening to rock music. He was a fun person to be around and cherished good times with friends. 

Survivors include his wife, Robin Shaner Hollingshead, his daughters Julie Shoptaugh (Andrew) and Richelle Kellermann (James), his sister, Becky Seldomridge, and his grandchildren, Hailey and Andrew Shoptaugh, and Ethan and Catherine Kellermann. 

Rick was preceded in death by his father and mother, Donald and Doris Hollingshead. 

A memorial service will be held on June 12th at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo, NJ. Calling hour will be from 10-11am with the Memorial Service at 11am. 

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
