2026 Municipal Election
City of Ocean City, New Jersey

In accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:12-7, Notice is hereby given that a Non-Partisan Municipal Election will be held in the City of Ocean City, NJ on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 for the election of the Mayor and three (3) At-Large Council Members. Listed below are the names of the candidates. All seats are for a four (4) year term expiring June 30, 2030.

Mayor Candidates – Vote for One (1)

Peter Madden “Leadership Ocean City Deserves”

Keith Hartzell “Make Ocean City Even Better”

Jay A. Gillian “Proven Leadership for a Stronger Tomorrow”

At-Large Council Candidates – Vote for Three (3)

Jocelyn Palaganas “Bringing People Together”

Jim Kelly “A New Voice for Ocean City”

Sean Barnes “Preserving Our Shore Way of Life”

Tony Polcini “Continuing to Keep Families First”

The deadline for voter registration as per N.J.S.A. 19:7-3 is April 21, 2026.

If you are not yet registered to vote please visit the City Clerk’s office located at 861 Asbury Avenue, Ocean City, NJ 08226 to obtain a Voter Registration Form. 

Polls will be open from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day
