Ocean City boys soccer tops Cedar Creek 2-1

OCEAN CITY – Cedar Creek scored first in the Oct. 3 game at the Tennessee Avenue field, but Ocean City stormed right back and scored less than a minute later when Ethan Pearson found the back of the net just over halfway through the first half.

The Pirates had dominated play early and kept Ocean City goalie Eddie Fuller busy making a number of saves, but the Red Raiders began to even out play.

Early in the second half Chase Bowman scored for Ocean City to give the team a 2-1 edge that would hold up.

Ocean City improved to 5-5-1 and the Pirates fell to 2-9. One of Cedar Creek’s wins this season came at the expense of Ocean City, a 1-0 victory Sept. 18.
