OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City High School boys and girls teams won the 2025 Cape May County Track and Field Championships on their home field Monday, May 5.
The Red Raider boys won their 17th straight meet with 210 points. Middle Township was second with 69 points, Lower Cape May Regional third with 29, Wildwood Catholic fourth with 13 and Wildwood High School fifth with 12.
The OCHS girls won with 177, Middle was second with 77 and LCMR a close third with 69 points. The Wildwood girls scored 7 points and Wildwood Catholic 4.
CMC Girls
The Caper Tiger girls started off the meet in strong fashion, with three juniors sweeping the top three places in the 400-meter hurdles.
Ella Biersbach won with a time of 1:08.69; Jasmine Black was second and Jenna Hill third. Ocean City senior Ginger Mumman was fourth in 1:13.59 fourth-tenths of a second behind Hill and just ahead of Middle’s Essence Still.
Raider senior Ella Miller won the 100 meters in 12.55 seconds, just ahead of senior teammate Naomi Nnewihe (13:00). Middle’s Riley Odom (13.44) was third and Caper Tiger junior Adrina Kennedy was fourth 2/100ths of a second later. Middle’s Haylie Rowlands was fifth.
Carly Godfrey and Riley Tolson, a sophomore and freshman, went 1-2 in the 1600 meters for the Red Raiders. Godfrey’s time was 5:16.85. Middle’s Grace Repici and Zoe Super were third and fourth and Raider freshman Juliana Rearick was fifth.
The Red Raider girls swept the 400 meter dash. Sophomore Alana Clevenger won in 1:01.36 with freshman Julianne Goodman second and sophomore Kai Linthicum third. Middle’s Layla Howard was fourth and Wildwood Catholic’s Grace Clark fifth.
LCMR’s Black won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.9 seconds. Ocean City senior AnnaMaria Marczyk was second 3/10ths of a second later and Middle Township’s Still was third. Raider Emily Swan was fourth and Wildwood Catholic’s Reagan Flickinger was fifth.
Senior Chloe Care (2:22.08) and sophomore Peighton Clemens were first and second in the 800 meters and teammate Sadie Heyman was fourth. Middle’s Super was third and Caper Tiger Hill was fifth.
Miller, Clevenger and Goodman wrestled first, third and fifth for the Raiders in the 200-meter dash, with LCMR’s Biersbach second and Middle’s Odom fourth. Miller’s winning time was 25.7 seconds. Biersbach finished in 27.03 seconds. Lower’s Kennedy and Olivia Williams were seventh and eighth.
Raider senior Maeve Smith won the 3200 meters going away in 11:00.86, 33 seconds ahead of Wildwood Catholic’s Macie McCracken. Ocean City’s Gabrielle Henry and Lily Cozamanis were third and fifth. Middle’s Olivia Orton was fourth. Caper Tiger Hanna Souder was sixth.
The Raider girls also won the 4×400 in 4:12.29, 13 seconds ahead of Middle Township. LCMR was third and Wildwood Catholic fourth.
In the field events, Ocean City’s Callie Duff won the high jump at 5’. Fellow junior Jaida Dooley was second at 4’10”. Middle’s Rowlands and Still were third and fourth and Caper Tiger freshman Zoey Heaney was fifth at 4’4”.
Rowlands won the pole vault, clearing 8’6” with LCMR sophomore Katarina Ojasoo second at 7’6”. Middle’s Avaclaire Scales was third and Ella Osmunden of LCMR was fourth.
Dooley, Miller and Marczyk swept the top three places in the long jump with Caper Tigers Black, Williams and Kennedy taking the next three. Dooley won with a distance of 16’4.5”. Black leapt 15’8”.
Raider senior Emily Swan won the triple jump at 33’ with teammate Madyn Rihl, also a senior, second one inch behind. LCMR’s Kennedy was third at 32’5”, teammate Rian Rivers, a freshman, fifth. Middle’s Armani Young was fourth.
Ocean City junior Gianna Endicott won the discus with a throw of 94’4”. Caper Tiger Kaitlyn Flynn, a senior, was second at 84’4”. Middle’s Sidny Lopez-Garcia was third, Raider Sophia Smith fourth and Caper Tiger Adeline Pacevich fifth.
Middle’s Allison Nagle won the javelin with a throw of 107’5”. Ocean City’s Evelynne Dreyer, a junior, was second, Middle’s Chrismarielie Suazo and Audrey Cassidy third and fourth, and Wildwood’s Lily Atkinson fifth.
Endicott also won the shot put at 28’9.5” and Flynn was second again at 28’7”. Middle’s Allison Nagle, Addison Campbell and Amaya Furey-Harmon were third, fourth and fifth.

CMC Boys
Ocean City senior Ryan Davis (1:01.04) and junior Lukas Tuthill opened the county meet finishing 1-2 in the 400-meter hurdles. LCMR sophomore Christopher Duley was third and Middle Township’s Liam Brannon and Leo Figueroa was fourth and fifth.
Raider junior Jude Govern won the 100 meters in 11.46 seconds with teammates Connor Berich, a senior, second, and junior John Stamm third. Wildwood Catholic’s Tayshaun Jackson was fourth and Middle’s Alexis Cruz Mieles fifth.
Ocean City sophomore Nathan Aschmann (4:36.07) won the 1600 meters with freshman teammates Nevin Millstein and Hayden Tarves second and fourth. Middle’s Jamar Mack was third and Joshua Heck fifth.
Raider juniors Dale Curtis, Govern and Troy Amstutz finished 1-2-3 in the 400 meters. Curtis won in 51.96 seconds, 4/100ths ahead of Govern. Middle freshmen Ty’Shon Bryant and Jaziel Sanjurjo Burgos were fourth and fifth.
Davis (16.03 seconds) and Berich were first and second in the 100 hurdles with Caper Tigers Aiden Formento, a senior, and Christopher Duley, a sophomore, third and fourth. Middle’s Brandon was fifth.
The Raiders swept the 800 meters behind senior Ethan Buck (2:00.71), junior Erik Preisner and sophomore Michael Romano. Middle’s Jamar Mack and Champion McNeal were fourth and fifth.
Govern won the 200-meter dash in 23.6 seconds, just ahead of Wildwood Catholic’s Tayshaun Jackson (23.87). Middle’s Cruz Mieles was third, Lower’s Jose Ramos fourth and Middle’s James Caldwell fifth.
Aschmann won his second distance event of the meet, taking the 3200 meters in 10:20.04 with teammates senior Zach Hutchinson second and freshman Benjamin McCarthy third. Middle’s Colin Jastremski was fourth, Wildwood Catholic’s Jonny Livingston fifth and LCMR’s Chris Saini sixth.
Ocean City won the 4×400 in 4:12.79 with Middle second and Wildwood Catholic third.
Wildwood sophomore Giani Jackson won the high jump, clearing 5’4”. Ocean City freshman Alex Christensen was second at 5’2 and Middle’s Liam Brannon and Bryant third and fourth. Wildwood’s Jayvion Hennessey was fifth.
Middle Township swept the top three spots in the pole vault. Dontae Kelly was first at 11’6”, Connor Rowlands second at the same height and Noah Nagle third. Ocean City’s Logan Steigerwalk and Nolan Servis fourth and fifth.
Raider Stamm won the long jump at 20’8” with Middle’s Cruz Mieles second at 19’7” and Lower’s Ramos third at 19’4”. Ocean City junior Greg Guyon was fourth and Wildwood’s Justin Santiago fifth.
Stamm also won the triple jump at 40’0.25”. Ramos was second at 39’9.5” and Guyon third at 36’1.5”. Lower’s Lennon O’Donnell was fourth and Middle’s Noah Nagle fifth.
Raider seniors Luke Smith (130’8”) and Clifford Dirkes (128’4”) were first and second in the discus. Middle’s John Wright was third, Lower’s Samuel Lake fourth and Wildwood’s Eric Jordan fifth.
Ocean City junior Gavin Taylor won the javelin at 148’3” with his teammates, juniors Garrett Sampson and Dale Curtis third and fourth. Middle’s Brandon was second and Lower’s Duley was fifth.
Raiders swept the shot put. Grady Hanson, a senior, won at 46’9.25” with Smith second at 45’6.6” and Dirkes third at 40’4”. Lower’s Samuel Lake was fifth at 39’1” and Wildwood’s Jordan was fifth.
The Cape-Atlantic League Track and Field Championships are Saturday at Buena Regional High School.
