Ocean City beach-block condo offers abundant options for income, island stays

OCEAN CITY — With the Imperial Suites condominium at 701 E. 10th St. Unit 304, it’s never been easier to own a piece of real estate in America’s Greatest Family Resort.

The Imperial Suites, a boutique-style hotel on the beach block, opened in May 2021 as the first new hotel in Ocean City in two decades.

Built on the corner of 10th Street and Ocean Avenue, the Impala Suites features 15 suites each with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, an eat-in kitchen and living room.

Unit 304 comes furnished, equipped for nightly rentals, parking, a heated swimming pool and a pool deck with restrooms and ocean views. The property is managed by The Impala Inn across the street, where owners and guests check in.

Owners can rent out their entire suite or just one or two bedrooms and stay in the other. Shorebreak Resorts manages the rentals.

The ground level of the property features a covered parking garage with one parking spot for each room. There is a shared elevator that leads to every level of the property, as well as a staircase.

Featuring a decidedly hotel atmosphere, the hallways are well lit by both natural and manmade light. The walls, floors and common areas are just two years old and well-maintained.

The large elevator opens onto a long hallway leading to the suites, which feature a central one-bedroom unit with the sitting and dining areas, kitchen and large bedroom with a king-size bed. The ensuite bathroom has a tile floor and tiled shower with a frameless glass door.

Plantation shutters on the glass panels and sliding glass door — which opens onto a private patio overlooking the pool deck, historic Flanders Hotel and nearby Playland Castaway Cove amusement pier — provide the option of privacy. Cathedral ceilings also increase the feeling of spaciousness.

A bedroom to each side includes two double beds, a private bathroom and wall-mounted television, as well as a private deck overlooking the pool area.

There’s also a bike storage area on the ground floor and ice and vending machines on the third and fourth floors.

Located in the Central neighborhood, the Impala Suites is just a block from the city’s world-famous boardwalk and miles of pristine beaches, and just a short walk or bike ride away from many of the island’s other features.

Ocean City is one of the most popular shore resorts on the East Coast, featuring a 2.5-mile-long oceanfront boardwalk filled with hundreds of shopping, dining and entertainment venues, as well as miles and miles of pristine beaches. There also is an award-winning downtown business district centered on Asbury Avenue and a watersports district around Third Street on Bay Avenue.

A great location doesn’t only mean beachfront or bayfront on this 8-mile-long island — there are 10 distinct neighborhoods, each with its own characteristics.

The Gardens is popular with many for its slow pace, huge beaches and winding, pedestrian-friendly streets. The Riviera, stretching from 16th to 23rd streets along Great Egg Harbor Bay, is a boater’s paradise with many Mediterranean-style homes set right on inland lagoons. The Central neighborhood is bustling with business both downtown and on the boardwalk, while the Southend is narrow with fewer homes and room to stretch out. The Northend contains many of the island’s historic homes and Merion Park, in the south, features wetlands and wildlife along with wonderful sunset views. The Goldcoast has some of the best beachfront homes on the island.

The property is listed for $950,000 with Peter Madden of Goldcoast Sotheby’s International Realty. Call (609) 513-4781 or email peter.madden@sothebysrealty.com for more information or to set up an appointment to see this wonderful home.
