Margaret Mary Tamamian, 73

Margaret Mary Tamamian, 73, was called home to be with the Lord on July 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving children at her home in Ocean City, NJ.   She was born in Millville, NJ to William and Margaret Gleeson and was the middle of five children. Margaret Mary was very involved in school activities including cheerleading and leader corps. She was named “Miss Ocean City High School” in 1962, voted most athletic, and named Homecoming Queen in 1966. After high school she attended cosmetology school. Margaret Mary loved doing hair and was known by her classmates to “never have a hair out of place”, which was noted next to her senior picture. She worked at Armond’s Hair Salon until she moved to California, where she became a Certified Nursing Assistant. Margaret Mary returned to Ocean City 19 years ago, where she worked at Wesley Manor as a devoted caretaker for many elderly in the community. Margaret Mary was an active “Friend of Bill W.” She was preceded in death by her father, William J. Gleeson; her mother, Margaret C. Gleeson; her brother-in-law, Steve Libro and sister-in-law Louise Gleeson. She is survived by her 3 children, Tara Santore, Anthony Santore and Sushana Tamamian (Tayt); her brothers, William Gleeson and James Gleeson; her sisters, Kathy Fluharty (Tom) and Helen Libro; sister-in-law Doris Davidson; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Corbin, Zayhvhn, and Jayce; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, 11:00 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 114 Atlantic Ave, Ocean City. The family will have a visitation at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Condolences may be left for the family at www.godfreyfuneralhome.com
