Joy Powell

Joy Powell, a longtime resident of Ocean City, passed away to the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

Joy was active in the Community for many years, including in Helping Out Together and Parents Without Partners. She was also active as a member of St. Peter’s Church.

An accomplished Square and Round dancer, Joy also did Ballroom and was very active in the South Jersey Dance Community for many years. 

Joy was predeceased by her father, Harvey Masland, her mother, Luro Masland, and her brother Joel Masland. She is survived by a son, David. 

There will be a Visitation held at 10 AM on Saturday, Oct. 19 at St. Peter’s United Methodist Church in Ocean City. It will be followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM, also at St. Peter’s. All those who knew Joy and her family are invited to pay their respects.
