Hobart W. Sapp Jr.

Sapp, Hobart (Hobie) W. Jr, passed away on January 8,2021. Hobie  was born in Marmora, New Jersey on October 18, 1925, and  went to Ocean City High School and then went onto college receiving a Bachelor’s Degree. 

He served in the Army during World War II, after which he taught school in Cape May County. In later years he went to work in Stainton’s Department Store and became the manager of the Men’s Department until it’s closing. Hobie was very active in the Republican Party of Cape May County and in his later years he resided at The Shores in Ocean City until his death. He was preceded in death by his sister Mildred S. Wheaton and his parents. 

Hobie is survived by his niece Lynda Wheaton Comfort and her husband Tex of Eustis, Florida and a nephew Jack Wheaton and his wife Korey of Fairfield, Connecticut. He is also survived by two great nieces Christie and Dede and a great nephew Ted. Due to the COVID-19 there will not be a celebration of life.
