OCEAN CITY — Just four blocks from the beach, the immaculately kept single-family home at 2569 West Ave. is the perfect headquarters for summer exploration of America’s Greatest Family Resort.
Offering four large bedrooms and three full bathrooms, the 1,632-square-foot home was built in 1999 and features all of the modern upgrades sought by today’s buyers.
The home has a low-maintenance exterior with a gravel yard and tan vinyl siding offset by white trim, making for a crisp, clean look that stands up to the harsh elements of the seashore.
Asymmetrical in design, the home features a covered front porch to the right, where the whimsical aqua blue front door sets the scene for a wonderful shore house inside.

The door, featuring a transom for added natural light, opens into a tiled foyer just off the great room.
A sitting area is to the right, dining area to the left and kitchen in the rear alongside one of the bedrooms and a full bathroom.
A sofa and love seat rest atop wall-to-wall carpeting, arranged around a gas fireplace with a tile hearth and surround and wood mantel with a large-screen television above.
Abundant natural light flows in through the double window in the front and a single on the side. Coupled with the 9-foot ceiling, this creates a vibrant, welcoming space.
On the left, a long wood table with a glass top awaits diners beneath a lighted ceiling fan.
Just steps away, more seating is available at the center island in the kitchen, which has a tile floor.

Wood cabinets line two walls. A refrigerator is to the left of the wide, stainless-steel sink beneath a window, and a dishwasher is to the right. There’s also a four-burner range/oven with a microwave above. The sellers are leaving all dishes, flatware, pots and pans, so the home is turn-key — just show up, drops the bags and head to the beach.
The first of the four bedrooms, which the sellers said is perfect for the older set, is in the back corner with direct access to the bathroom. It has a queen-size bed atop carpet, a closet with double bi-fold doors and a double window in the back.
Ascending to the second floor, the stairs are in the front and rise to a landing where multiple west-facing windows light the way.
At the top, a closet to the left hides the full-size washer and dryer, keeping it out of the way of the rest of the living space.

The primary bedrooms is in the front, offering a wonderful private deck where sipping a cold drink is in order as the sun goes down on another great day at the beach.
The room has a king-size be beneath a peaked cathedral ceiling, a walk-in closet and standard closet and a full bathroom with a one-piece fiberglass shower sporting sliding glass doors.
Back in the hall, the final full bathroom is to the right, this one with a tub to make it convenient for small children.
In the rear are two more bedrooms. The one on the left has a queen-size bed just inside a sliding glass door that opens onto a private sun deck perfect for catching some raise or some shut-eye beneath an umbrella. An awning provides shade to keep the inside cool. The final bedroom has twin beds.
Out back, there is room for as many as three cars on gravel and another in the garage, so there’s no need to park on the street.

Ocean City is one of the most popular shore resorts on the East Coast, featuring a 2.5-mile-long oceanfront boardwalk filled with hundreds of shopping, dining and entertainment venues, as well as miles and miles of pristine beaches. There also is an award-winning downtown business district centered on Asbury Avenue and a watersports district around Third Street on Bay Avenue.
The Goldcoast, from 18th to 34th streets, is centrally located between the Northend starting at North Street and the Southend ending at 59th Street. It is highly residential but peppered with mom-and-pop shops and features some of the most amazing beachfront properties on the island.
Movie star and princess of Monaco Grace Kelly spent summers in the family’s Goldcoast home. It was built in 1929 on the corner of Wesley Avenue and 26th Street.
Tired of the beach and looking for some exercise in the great outdoors, head west a couple of blocks to the Stainton Wildlife Refuge and the Ocean City Municipal Golf Course.
There’s also the city airport, offering aviators a traffic-free travel option.
