Fourth of July Parade: SOCIA, South Ocean City Improvement Association

OCEAN CITY – Hundreds of people of all ages festooned in red, white and blue took part in the South Ocean City Improvement Association (SOCIA) bicycle parade on July Fourth.

The annual family event is one of the highlights of Fourth of July festivities in Ocean City. Families gathered in the parking lot of Our Lady of Good Counsel at 40th Street and Asbury Avenue. The parade went south to the playground at 52nd Street and Haven Avenue.

Simultaneously there was a parade in the north end of Ocean City sponsored by the Gardens Civic Association and another in the Riviera Neighborhood at noon.
