Edith Marie Blevin-Salazar

Edith Marie Blevin-Salazar, born on July 20, 1943 in Ocean City, New Jersey, God called her home on July 4, 2020. She was surrounded by her family and friends during the last days of her life. 

Edith attended Ocean City High School and later moved to Florida to raise her family. Edith’s strong work ethic motivated her to become the Restaurant Operations Manager at the Lost Tree Club. She worked at the Lost Tree Club for over 15 years until she retired. After her retirement, Edith acquired several hobbies and interests. Edith loved volunteering and reading in her spare time. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a generous woman who dedicated her time to make jewelry, stuffed animals, and pictures to give to people. Edith was actively involved at the North County Senior Center and St. Lucie County Book Club. Edith’s favorite pastime was to reminisce about the cherished moments with her family as she sipped her morning coffee and fed the ducks. Her conversations and advice she gave to people will be deeply treasured. Edith was truly a strong-willed and family orientated woman. Every moment spent with Edith will be truly unforgettable.

Edith is survived by her Children – Christine Hatcher (Willie Hatcher, Jr.), Helen Welch (Robert Davis), Samantha Salazar (Alton Martin, Jr.),; Grandchildren- Adena Hatcher, Ashlee Thomas, Miya Slydell, Ceddrika Thomas, Mikeria Slydell, Alton Martin, III., Robert Burns-Davis, Great-Grandchildren- Rayne Forrest-Lynn and Remi Lynn; Special Niece- Christina Blevin;  Nieces, Nephews, Cousins & Friends.

She was preceded in death by Parents – William Blevin, Jr. and Francis Elizabeth Provezano; Brothers – William Blevin III, George Blevin and Larry Blevin.
