Dean H. Birth, 88

Birth, Dean H., 88, of Ocean City, passed away peacefully at Spring Home at Galloway, NJ on August 6th, 2022. 

Dean was a resident of Ocean City, NJ. Before retiring to Ocean City, he lived in North Arlington, NJ. Prior to his retirement, Dean was a Mechanical Engineer for Nabisco for over 30 years. Dean was an avid golfer, and was a long time member of the Brambley Golf League. He also had been a member of the Ocean City Senior Golf League. Dean was a devoted NY Giants and Yankees fan, proudly wearing his hats, even though he lived in Eagles and Phillies country. 

Dean was a wonderful husband, father and Pop Pop. He is survived by his devoted wife, Connie, of 67 years, his sons Dean (Debra), Scott (Beth), and daughter Robin, as well as 3 grandsons, Tyler, Colin and Henry. He was predeceased by his beloved beagle, Molly, who we know was waiting to greet him at the Rainbow Bridge. Services will be held at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Ocean City on Thursday, August 11, where friends may call from 9 until 10 o’clock in the morning, followed by a graveside service at 1 o’clock at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler PA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dean’s memory to: Penny Angels Beagle Rescue, PO Box 2161, Ventnor, NJ 08406; or Humane Society of Ocean City, 1 Shelter Rd, Ocean City, NJ 08226.
