OCEAN CITY — Watch the sun rise on another great day at the beach from the front porch at 3600 Central Ave., Unit C3.
Covered to keep out the elements, the wide porch provides the perfect vantage point to welcome the morning with a hot cup of coffee in hand.
Updated and upgraded inside and outside, the second-floor condominium unit features two bedrooms, one bathroom and a bright great room facing the Atlantic Ocean.
“This light-filled home offers great ocean views and a thoughtfully renovated interior,” listing agent Andrew Moon said.
Set on the corner of 36th Street, the five-unit building was built in 1975 but has been recently sided in tan vinyl with white railings and trim, now more suited to stand up to the harsh elements of the shore.
Unit C3 is by far the best unit based solely on its top-floor, ocean-facing location with a view down 36th Street.
Atop the private stairs, the front door opens into the great room, which has wide-plank wood-impression flooring and a huge window welcoming in the morning light.

A sofa and a couple of cushy chairs are arranged with a view of both the beach.
A table and a couple of chairs are set just inside the large window and literally steps away from the modern kitchen.
Featuring white Mouser cabinets with self-close/soft-close doors and drawers topped by granite countertops with a glass subway tile backsplash, the space is crisp, clean and convenient.
Stainless steel GE appliances include a five-burner range/oven with a microwave above, a dishwasher to the right of the anthracite sink and a two-door refrigerator with a bottom freezer drawer.
A hallway with a coat closet on the left and bathroom on the right leads to the two bedrooms.
Straight ahead, the first features twin beds atop wall-to-wall carpeting, while the second, on the left, has a full-size bed and wall-mounted television. A window in the rear provides light.
The upgraded bathroom has a tile floor, granite-topped vanity and tiled shower with a swinging glass door.
Central air conditioning keeps the home cool event on the hottest days of August, while gas-fueled baseboard hot water heaters keep is comfortable all winter.

“Additional highlights include one off-street parking space and an unbeatable location only steps from the sand and surf,” Moon said. “Whether you’re seeking a relaxing beach retreat, a primary residence or an investment opportunity, this move-in-ready condo delivers the perfect blend of comfort, style and seaside convenience.”
Outside, there is one dedicated off-street parking spot and a shower to wash away beach sand after a long day of relaxing oceanside.
Ocean City is one of the most popular shore resorts on the East Coast, featuring a 2.5-mile-long oceanfront boardwalk filled with hundreds of shopping, dining and entertainment venues, as well as miles and miles of pristine beaches. There also is an award-winning downtown business district centered on Asbury Avenue and a watersports district around Third Street on Bay Avenue.
A great location doesn’t only mean beachfront or bayfront on this 8-mile-long island — there are 10 distinct neighborhoods, each with its own characteristics. The Gardens is popular with many for its slow pace, huge beaches and winding, pedestrian-friendly streets. The Riviera, stretching from 16th to 23rd streets along Great Egg Harbor Bay, is a boater’s paradise with many Mediterranean-style homes set right on inland lagoons. The Central neighborhood is bustling with business both downtown and on the boardwalk, while the Southend is narrow with fewer homes and room to stretch out. The Northend contains many of the island’s historic homes and Merion Park, in the south, features wetlands and wildlife along with wonderful sunset views. The Goldcoast has some of the best beachfront homes on the island, while Merion Park offers beautiful sunsets over the bay and wetlands.
The Southend neighborhood, from 34th to 59th streets, is narrow with fewer homes and businesses than the center of the island, which makes it the perfect getaway.
Everything needed for a beach vacation is located on the 34th Street business corridor or scattered throughout the neighborhood at mom-and-pop shops.
The Garden State Parkway provides access just across the bridge in Upper Township, so there is no need to schlep through downtown to get there, and all of the attractions that make Ocean City America’s Greatest Family Resort are just a couple of miles away on foot or bicycle.
