Constance C. Svindland, 87

Constance Cameron Svindland, 87 years, passed quietly on March   23, 2026 with family by her side after fighting breast cancer for 37 years. She was born July 14, 1938 in Somers Point, NJ to Dr. C. Paul Cameron, MD  and Vivian Elizabeth (Lebo) Cameron. Connie attended area schools and graduated from Ocean City High School with honors in 1956. She applied to the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and was among the first women accepted by the school.  Upon graduation, in 1960, she pursued requirements and obtained certification as a CPA. Her education did not stop there as she entered law school as a part-time student and studied Tax Law.

Connie worked for many small CPA firms as her husband’s job required frequent  relocations; however, one notable job was with Price Waterhouse when they lived in Geneva, Switzerland. Upon returning to the States, she was asked to establish a Holding Company in Delaware for the Dutch Sates Mines Company. She worked for them for ten years and then retired in 1999.

After retiring, she became very interested in making jewelry leading to focus on making foreign coin jewelry. She obtained coins from all over the world and made ear pins, bracelets, necklaces, pins and money clips. Which she sold at various craft shows. Her hobby also included reading “Mystery Novels” and belonged to several book clubs.

She was a member of the National Scholastic Honor Society, Mortar Board, Kappa Delta Sorority, AICPA, AAUW, Methodist Church and North Shore Golf Club.

Connie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Arne, and her three children: Britt Inger Laramore (Jeffrey), Appleton, WI. Paul C. Svindland (Allison), Palm Beach, FL and Richard C. Svindland (Miranda), Lake St. Louis, MO. Five grandchildren: Jacqueline (Spencer), Samuel, William, Ava and Caroline. In addition, two great grandchildren: Wyatt and Vivian.

Connie will be cremated in Appleton, WI and at a later date buried at the family plot at the New Jersey Shore.
