Close to quiet beaches, first-floor condo offers luxury living, amenities

OCEAN CITY – Location and luxury living are the highlights of the first-floor condominium at 801 Park Place in Ocean City’s Northend neighborhood.

Its spacious design includes an open-layout great room, five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a powder room.

The duplex was built in 2019 on the corner of Atlantic Avenue, just a block and a half from the city’s pristine white-sand beaches and world-famous Boardwalk, a 2.5-mile oceanfront stroll offering hundreds of shopping, dining and entertainment venues. It’s also close to the city’s dedicated bayfront watersports district and everything else this popular resort has to offer.

Facing Park Place, the 2,100-plus-square-foot home’s corner location provides twice the space for its lush landscaping featuring a grassy yard with ornamental trees and mulched beds bursting with vibrant shrubs. It’s also ideal for its wrap-around front porch with maintenance-free composite decking, square corner columns and vertical plank foundation skirt. It has a two-sided staircase to the porch.

The eight-foot-tall front door, with a large glass insert and side panels, hints at what’s to come inside., where nine-foot ceilings are found in every room.

The handsome front door opens onto a wide-open great room with wide-plank hardwood flooring stretching throughout the comfortable living room area, spacious dining area and gourmet kitchen.

The living room is to the left, where a large sectional sofa is centered around a gas fireplace with a flat-screen television above. Sliding glass doors opening onto the Atlantic Avenue side of the home flank the fireplace, while a double window on the Park Place side provides additional natural light.

The dining area is to the right of the front door as you enter, and features a long solid-wood table with seating for eight beneath a metal globe hanging lamp.

Just steps away is the kitchen, whose main feature is a huge granite-topped center island with barstool seating on one side and a GE Profile stainless-steel dishwasher, sink and trash container on the other.

More granite countertops with KitchenMaid cabinets line the ocean-side wall, where there is a stainless-steel GE Profile two-door refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer, four-burner range/oven with a griddle and a microwave/hood. Three pendant lights matching the one over the table hang above the center island.

A pocket door to the left opens onto a pantry/laundry room, while a short staircase descend to the ground-floor foyer offering access to the one-car garage and a side door.

Back on the main level, a half-bath with a tile floor and stone-top vanity is just left of a second short staircase – with hardwood treads and white risers – that ascends to the bedroom level.

The first bedroom, located to the right on the ocean side of the home, features twin beds and a closet with a swing door beneath a bamboo ceiling fan – something found in every bedroom.

Across the hall is the first full bathroom, featuring a porcelain-top vanity, tile floor and shower with subway tile to the ceiling and sliding glass doors.

The master bedroom is located at the end of the long hallway, which turns left and leads to three more bedrooms.

The master suite includes a king-size bed flanked by windows, a sliding glass door opening onto the rear deck and a full bathroom with a tile floor, vanity and shower with subway tile to the ceiling and a swinging glass door.

Down the hall to the left is the second bathroom with a tile floor, vanity and porcelain tub with subway tiles to the ceiling and a curtain.

The third bedroom is a junior master suite with a full-size bed, large window facing Atlantic Avenue and a full bathroom featuring a long vanity with his and hers sinks, vanity and shower with subway tile to the ceiling and sliding glass doors.
