Beachfront condo offers Panoramic beach, ocean views in city’s Southend

OCEAN CITY — The amazing view and envy-inspiring location just a clam shell’s throw from the beach are for sale at 4813 Central Ave. in the Southend neighborhood of Ocean City, and the house that comes along with those fine features is pretty fantastic, too.

Real estate agent Chris Monihan called it an “absolutely incredible beachfront condo with awesome beach and ocean views” featuring an “open layout to capture spectacular ocean views, hardwood flooring throughout, custom trim work and crown molding, complete with high end furnishings and decorations included.”

The 2,000-square-foot home, the lower floor of a duplex right on the beach, is being sold fully furnished and features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a wide-open great room and multiple decks in the more residential area of the island.

From the street, most oceanfront homes offer little curb appeal. This home, however, features board-and-batten pillars with stone foundation skirts flanking the garage door, as well as alongside the two covered back decks.

A paver walkway leads down the north side to the main entrance, then steppingstones continue to the grassy backyard between the home and natural dunes beyond.

The solid-wood main door with two windows and side panels opens onto the ground-floor foyer with wood-impression tile floor.

Wooden steps up to the main level are to the left, while the cabana room with access to the backyard is around the corner to the left. There also is access to the garage and elevator.

The cabana room features a sofa and armchair atop an area rug over hardwood flooring and a door opening onto the covered, composite back deck just steps above the lush green grass.

There is a full bathroom on the ground level with a granite-topped vanity and tiled shower with a swinging glass door.

Atop the stairs, the great room is highlighted by an entire wall of windows overlooking the beach and deep, blue sea beyond. The open layout is made for hosting a large family and friends for a terrific shore vacation, and makes the most of the incredible view.

The kitchen is to the left and features a granite-topped center island with barstools on one side and a microwave drawer and beverage cooler on the other.

More granite countertops and white cabinets run along one wall, where there is a stainless-steel Jenn-Air two-door refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer and four-burner range/over with a hood, and another where the dishwasher is to the left of the stainless-steel sink.

The dining area is just steps away, inside a sliding glass door leading out to the front deck. It features a long wooden table with seating for six beneath a hanging lamp.

The living room area takes up the right half of the great room. Two sofas and a large coffee table rest atop an area rug centered around the gas fireplace with a tile and wood surround and wood mantel. A flat-screen television hangs above. Windows flank the fireplace and a double window overlooks the ocean, providing abundant natural light.

The first of the four bedrooms has bunkbeds, while a second has twin beds. So there is plenty of room for the younger set.

All of the interior doors are solid wood with faux-glass handles.

The third bedroom, a junior master suite, has a queen-size bed beneath four clerestory windows and a private bathroom with a tile floor, granite-topped vanity and tiled shower.

The master bedroom is in the back right of the home, featuring a bedroom with a king-size bed beneath four clerestory windows, access to a private deck and a full bathroom with a granite-topped vanity sporting his and hers sinks and a tiled shower with a swinging glass door.

The home is listed for $2.049 million with Chris Monihan of Monihan Realty. Call (609) 602-3336 or (609) 399-0998 for more information or to set up an appointment to see this wonderful home.
