Bari Platt Miller

Bari Platt Miller (Mizrahi) went home to be with the Lord on September 17, 2022.  She was peaceful with her loving husband Jack by her side.

Bari loved life and lived it to the fullest.  She was passionate about trying new adventures and meeting and getting to know people along the way, most of which became some of her closest friends.  Bari enjoyed snow skiing, water skiing, boating, golfing and socializing with all her friends.  But her greatest joy was being a mother to her daughters, Lisa and Stacey, and a grandmother to all her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed traveling to many places within the US as well as foreign countries with her husband and friends and loved her time she spent in the Florida Keys.

Bari was born on July 22, 1943 and lived in New Jersey most of her life.  Her adoptive parents were Leila and Maurice Mizrahi and they raised twin daughters; Bari and Boni.  Boni passed away in 2017. Bari graduated from Ocean City High School in 1961 and was involved in many activities including cheerleading. In her early years, Bari met and married Gene Platt and started their family. Bari was co-owner and operated Platt’s Hair Stylist salon in North Cape May for over 30 years of which some of that time she was selling real estate. She continued working at Bon Cheveux hair salon in Marmora for the next 18 years where she met Jack Miller in 2011 and they married in 2014. Bari then retired to enjoy life with Jack, friends and their blended families.

Bari will be missed by her loving husband Jack who was her amazing caretaker till the very end. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, Lisa and Stacey (Cesar), her step-daughter Jennifer (Don) and grandchildren Alyssa, Johnny, Dane, Holly, Colton, Caleb, Jared, Jubilee, Josiah, Elias, Lucas, Levi and step grandchildren Megan & Sean. Bari will also be missed by her many friends that were lucky enough to have known her and shared great times with her.

A memorial service celebrating Bari’s life will be held at George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, 1707 New Rd., Linwood, NJ on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11AM.  In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to your favorite charity. Condolences may be extended to the family at ghwimberg.com.
