Atlantic County: Seventh death, 24 more cases

Editor’s note: This story updates the post from earlier today, April 10.

The Atlantic County Division of Public Health announced a 42-year-old Atlantic City man with underlying health conditions has died as a result of COVID-19.

He is the seventh county resident to die from the virus.

There also are 24 new cases of the unique coronavirus in Atlantic County, making the new total 222, the division announced Friday, April 10.

The division said off the 24 confirmed cases Friday, 14 are men ages 13 to 63 and 10 are women ages 31 to 91.

They include four each from Egg Harbor Township, Galloway and Hamilton Township; three from Atlantic City; two each from Hammonton and Weymouth Township; and one each from Buena, Buena Vista Township, Folsom, Mullica and Pleasantville.
