COVID-19 cases went from 922 to 2,490 to 4,335 over the last three months

Over the course of six months in Atlantic County at the start of the pandemic, from mid-March to mid-September, there were 4,138 cases of COVID-19 reported.
Since then, the numbers have jumped each month. As of Monday, that number stood at 11,737, nearly tripling in the past three months.
Each four-week period has seen a substantial jump over the previous month this fall as Gov. Phil Murphy said predictions are that cases will increase substantially across the state into the new year even as COVID-19 vaccines begin to get distributed this week.
In the four-week period from mid-September to mid-October, there were 922 cases. By comparison, there were 2,490 cases from mid-October to mid-November, and 4,335 from mid-November until mid-December.
Between Dec. 8 and Dec. 14, there have been 11 deaths attributed to the coronavirus, according to the Atlantic County Division of Public Health, which provides the statistics.
There also were 1,245 new cases over the past seven days. The death toll in the county now stands are 312.

Monday, Dec. 14: There were 143 new cases of COVID-19 among 76 females from 7 to 98 years old and among 67 males from 8 months to 89 years old.
Linwood had eight new cases, Somers Point had five and Northfield had four.
There were 25 cases in Egg Harbor Township, 23 in Hamilton Township, 20 in Galloway Township, 15 in Atlantic City, nine each in Buena Vista Township and Pleasantville, six in Hammonton, four each in Brigantine and Mullica Township, three in Ventnor, two in Estell Manor and one each in Longport, Corbin City, Absecon, Buena Borough, Egg Harbor City and Weymouth Township.
Sunday: Dec. 13: There were 162 new cases and one death, an 84-year-old Pleasantville man, a resident of a long-term care facility who had pre-existing conditions.
Of the new cases, 84 were among males from 8 months old to 91 years old and among 78 females from 7 years old to 98.
Northfield had 10 cases, Linwood had four and Somers Point had one.
Egg Harbor Township had 32 cases, Atlantic City had 21, Pleasantville had 20, Hamilton Township had 19 and Galloway Township had 18.
There were six each in Absecon and Buena Vista Township, four each in Ventnor, Brigantine and Hammonton, two each in Folsom, Mulliica Township, Port Republic and Weymouth Township and one each in Longport, Margate and Estell Manor.
Saturday, Dec. 12: There were 231 new cases including 126 among males from 2 to 92 years old and among 113 females from 7 to 82 years old.
Northfield had 10 cases, Linwood had four and Somers Point had one.
Friday, Dec. 11: There were 209 new cases, including 106 among females from 1 year old to 97 and among 103 males from 3 years old to 96.
Linwood had 15 cases, Northfield had 13 and Somers Point had 5.
Egg Harbor Township led with 41 cases, Galloway Township had 29, Pleasantville had 19, Atlantic City and Hammonton had 18 each, Hamilton Township had 11, Brigantine had nine, Margate, Absecon, Buena Borough and Egg Harbor City had five each, Ventnor had four, and Longport, Buena Vista Township, Mullica Township and Weymouth Township had two each.
Thursday, Dec. 10: The Division of Public Health announced six COVID-19-related fatalities among county residents ranging in age from 64 to 100.
All had underlying health conditions, the division said, including four men, a 64-year-old from Hammonton, a 77-year-old from Northfield, an 80-year-old from Somers Point and a 94-year-old from Linwood; and two women, a 92-year-old from Galloway and a centenarian from Atlantic City.
There were 104 new cases among 56 women from 9 years old to 81 and among 48 men from 4 years old to 80.
Northfield and Somers Point each had six new cases and Linwood had five.
Egg Harbor Township had 21, Galloway Township had 15, Hamilton Township had 12, Atlantic City had 10, Pleasantville had seven, Buena Vista Township had six, Absecon and Hammonton had four each, Brigantine had three, Ventnor and Buena Borough had two beach and Egg Harbor City had one.
Wednesday, Dec. 9: There were 176 new cases among 87 males from 2 months old to 89 years old and among 89 females from 5 years old to 92.
Northfield had six new cases, Somers Point had five and Linwood had two.
Egg Harbor Township had 30 cases, Atlantic City had 24, Galloway Township had 23, Pleasantville had 22, Hamilton Township had 15, Hammonton had 13, Absecon had nine, Brigantine had six, Buena Borough had five, Ventnor and Egg Harbor City had four each, Buena Vista Township, Margate and Folsom had two each and Estell Manor and Weymouth Township had one each.
Tuesday, Dec. 8: There were four deaths attributed to COVID-19, a 90-year-old Linwood woman, a 69-year-old Galloway man, an 81-year-old Egg Harbor Township man and an 83-year-old Pleasantville man.
There were 217 new cases among 113 females from 1 year old to 101 and 104 males from 11 months old to 89 years old.
Northfield had seven cases and Linwood and Somers Point had four each.
There were 48 cases in Pleasantville, 33 in Egg Harbor Township, 29 in Atlantic City, 22 in Galloway Township, 17 in Hamilton Township and nine in Absecon. Buena Vista Township had six cases, Buena Borough and Mullica Township had five each, Ventnnor Margate, Estell Manor and Weymouth Township had three each and Brigantine and Folsom had one each.
